DTN COMMENTS: All is quiet in cash cattle country at midday, some early 
asking prices are starting out around $186, but not established in the 
North. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until Wednesday or 
later. 

Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 296.04 -1.49, select 290.91 
+0.70) with light box movement (28.90 lds of choice cuts, 10.66 lds 
choice cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 16.19 lds of ground). Cattle futures 
sharply lower on both live and feeder contracts near the noon hour. The 
lone exception is expiring sport April live which is up 50 points at this 
time.
